Heavily influenced by the latest research in understanding pain, and the traditional work of former British osteopath and physician Dr Alan Stoddard, Marc is a Clinical Osteopath from the UK with an honours degree in Osteopathy and a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Advanced Professional Practice (Clinical Sciences).
Typical to what you might experience in the UK, Marc offers an approach comprising of his original Osteopathic degree, three decades of healthcare practice, and our latest understandings of how pain, movement and postures really work (which is not what you may think and what everyone may keep telling you) through his expert level research and practice studies.
If you enjoy integrated biomechanical and manipulative treatments, unique pain and movement self-help ideas, and a healthy dose of simply-explained understanding, Marc specialises in the original musculoskeletal osteopathy backed up with the best current evidence-based practice in pain and movement to help you get back to doing what you enjoy the most.
Acute injuries, surprisingly to many, will heal by themselves, but you only get one chance to do it to the best of your ability, and that's in the first few days or weeks. Sure it will heal, but what if you could have someone guide you through the early stage of the acute pain, the following two to three weeks of inflammation, and the remaining 6 weeks to three months of total tissue repair? Have as much or as little help as you feel you need.
Chronic pain is sadly something that rarely disappears entirely, but we can improve it and make your day-to-day function and activities more bearable and even enjoyable. Combining treatments, education/understanding of what is really happening to you, and looking for numerous cheats and ideas that you never considered (or were erroneously told "were bad for you") can make a massive difference for so many of us.
We are all growing older and getting stiffer. What if you could have someone assess your movements and 'cherry pick' the stiffer areas that you cannot do for yourself while you continue getting on with life? Marc can help you eke out those extra years of movement and optimise your related pains (he calls it, "growing old disgracefully"). Arthritis, disc bulges and changing postures develop in everyone as we age, so don't give yourself a hard time for being normal.
What People Say
It's like having your own expert tutor! Marc has made me think SO differently about how my pain works and it has completely changed my life!
I like the way that he uses different techniques and doesn't always want to crack my joints. His 45-minute treatments compared to others have been awesome as he checks everything each time.
I was really surprised that he said it was OK to do things the "wrong way" if it didn't hurt. Everyone else was telling me to do it "properly", but now I can do what I want with less pain!

you only need to be good."
