Influences & Philosophy
Marc's earliest osteopathic influences are naturally from his university studies in the UK, but it was the work of British doctor and osteopath Dr Alan Stoddard (circa 1960-90) that shaped him most. Stoddard took the original osteopathic philosophy and proceeded to do what the founder, Dr AT Still, had also done and applied the medical knowledge of his time. Marc has followed in both of their footsteps by combining the original structural osteopathy with our modern-day understanding of pain.
The evidenced work and presentations of Lorimer Moseley, David Butler snd Greg Lehman have made significant contributions to Marc's research and practice of neurophysiology of pain education. Marc has completed all three of Professor Stuart McGill's masterclass courses in understanding and managung evidence based spinal biomechanics, including patterns of movement and pain and strategies to assist in these cases.
